Urukundo Service Trip
I went on a service trip to Rwanda, where I volunteered at the Urukundo Learning Center, engaging with local students and educators. This experience allowed me to observe the impact of educational initiatives in under-resourced communities and to contribute directly through classroom assistance and discussions. The trip also provided a deeper understanding of the educational challenges faced by the center, reinforcing the importance of continued international support.

Project Urukundo
After the trip to Rwanda, I co-founded Project Urukundo at CIS, where we led efforts to support the Urukundo Learning Center in Rwanda. I organized multiple fundraising events, including managing stalls at our school’s Sports Fun Day, which raised funds to purchase a school bus for the center. We also developed and facilitated extracurricular activities (ECAs) for younger students, engaging them in service-oriented projects. Additionally, we drafted a partnership agreement with the Hope Made Real organization, establishing a long-term cultural exchange between CIS and the Urukundo Learning Center.
